"However, the virality of negative reactions to Chris Pratt’s innocent post about his family is disgusting."
well...that's the double edged sword of social media, dear. when you throw your beliefs and opinions out into the world, guess what? many will interpret those beliefs and opinions the way they want. its not CANCEL CULTURE, its taking responsibility for one's opinions and DEALING WITH IT when one post's on social media. and his post can be construed as a slight to his previous mate, Anna and his son, Jack.
a perfect example would be Amy Grant. maybe you're a bit too young to remember her, but she was the princess of christian music, held up so high, that even if she farted wrong, the church and her followers would come after her. and then came her Heart in Motion album, which, people thought she had FALLEN into SIN. gasp!! how could she? and then to find out that she and Vince Gill had fallen for each other?? gasp! say it isn't so!! they both kept quiet about their feelings for each other, amy was almost bound by sacred christian values, to almost having to attest that she and vince had not been together in the "knowing" way till marriage! amy lost many people in her camp, just like sandi patti and others...but chris pratt can't keep his mouth shut, then he complains that everyone is against him and uses social media as a crutch, he's looking for something on the outside to fill the inside, when actually is comes from within. sorry, i have no sympathy for him. when you hang your dirty laundry out for everyone to see, don't be surprised when people call you out on it...
