I Did Not Speak

First they came for the Muslims, and I did not speak out —

Because I was not a Muslim.

Then they came for the Immigrants, and I did not speak out —

Because I was not an Immigrant.

Then they came for the Transgenders, and I did not speak out —

Because I was not Transgender.

Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.

“If you drop a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will of course frantically try to clamber out. But if you place it gently in a pot of tepid water and turn the heat on low, it will float there quite placidly. As the water gradually heats up, the frog will sink into a tranquil stupor, exactly like one of us in a hot bath, and before long, with a smile on its face, it will unresistingly allow itself to be boiled to death.”

Jam that spoke in the wheel.

Every little bit counts, in being part of the Resistance.

There is more of US, than there is of THEM.

The round ups have BEGUN.

We are REPEATING history all over AGAIN.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 9066

On February 19, 1942, Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which forced all Japanese-Americans, regardless of loyalty or citizenship, to evacuate the West Coast. No comparable order applied to Hawaii, one-third of whose population was Japanese-American, or to Americans of German and Italian ancestry.

Americans of German and Italian ancestry did not have to evacuate or be interned.

Why?

Because they were WHITE.

Because they were not to be perceived as a Threat.

Because of the COLOR of their SKIN.

How long will you stay silent?

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” the president said, sources told The Washington Post. Trump reportedly followed up suggesting the U.S. should welcome more immigrants from countries like Norway.
